Customers are more knowledgeable than they have ever been. With more information available and shorter attention spans, gaining interest is a difficult endeavor. Video advertising is an often overlooked but rapidly rising method of communicating with clients that offers benefits that other platforms just cannot.
Video commercials are the perfect balance of graphics and storytelling for introducing your business, showcasing unique products, or increasing demand. Video ads may help potential consumers progress down the funnel at a faster rate than nearly any other sort of the point of contact.
For marketers, the emergence of the age of video ads has resulted in a paradigm change. According to Forbes, video advertisements now account for more than 35% of all online ad spending. Video allows you to communicate a lot more in a short amount of time, allowing you to tell an interesting and powerful tale about your company.
Let’s look at a few examples of brands that we believe are doing it well.
1. Cheetos
Cheetos was one brand that managed to combine several elements into a memorable campaign. To market their Flamin’ Hot Cheetos snack, they teamed up with Bad Bunny, one of the world’s most popular artists and a huge Gen-Z heartthrob. Their #DejaTuHuella (#LeaveYourMark) campaign encouraged viewers to “make their stamp” on society through art, culture, or any other means.
It was successful because it skillfully integrated the TikTok lifestyle. It’s youthful, vibrant, and daring. The campaign has had over 120 million engagements so far.
2. Home Depot and Oreo
In a pandemic-riddled world, some brands found that simple = better. We’ve become so accustomed to browsing that our attention span is at an all-time low. If a viewer only has a few seconds to spare, you’d better make sure you’re taking full advantage of every moment. Transforming some of the long-form content into several micro-moments—videos that are less than 15 seconds long—has the advantage of being an inexpensive way to create and share across several channels.
With rapid, vivid views of different portions of a house, Home Depot captivated its viewers in the moment. These scenes inspired viewers to think, “Wouldn’t it be lovely to have hardwood floors?” No words were required!
Oreo creates short videos that are a little more festive, which are perfect for a sweet treat. Like that of an Oreo cookie, their “Stay Playful” bits are small celebrations. The commercials remind audiences that Oreo is a way to get away from the news without disregarding the crisis.
3. Budweizer
In 2021 we all have/had a significant problem to be concerned about, and brands are aware of their social responsibility.
Throughout the pandemic Budweiser utilized real-life individuals and places to evoke nostalgia in its audience, reminding them of the better moments—of course, with a drink in hand.
“Good times are on the way”, according to the company’s most recent advertisement. This optimistic cry to return to normal, after all the memories, pushes the emotion to a peak. The ad concludes with a plea to get vaccinated, as well as links to sites for learning more about it.
Incorporate Video Into Your 2022 Marketing Campaigns
Utilizing the power of video in your marketing campaign can take your brand or business to wherever it is you want to take it. In 2021, Front Runner Films won 5 different Telly Awards from branding to animation videos.
